About Roy Sánchez, Vehicle Purchase Advisor

I was born in Maracay, Aragua state, Venezuela, in 1992, the older of two brothers. Even as a kid I knew sales ran in my veins: at eight I was selling the gelatin desserts my mom made at the soccer and baseball fields in my neighborhood, and by eleven I was reselling clothes wholesale to stores, putting together my own sales pitch while the store owners couldn't believe a kid could do it so well.

My other dream was to fly. I entered the Venezuelan Naval Academy, where I trained for four years and earned a degree in Military Sciences and Arts with a concentration in Naval Operations, specializing in naval aviation. I went on to pilot three rotary-wing aircraft: the Enstrom 480, the Agusta Bell 212 and the Bell 412. It was one of the most honorable chapters of my life, until my country's political direction changed everything that uniform stood for. I hung up my flight suit and went back to what I had always done well: selling.

I opened my own vehicle buying and selling business in Maracay, Roy Cars, and that's where I confirmed I had a natural talent for this. Soon after, I decided to move to the United States. I arrived in Spokane, Washington, where I worked in roofing, painting, construction and even in a freezer at -22°C, sleeping barely 2 to 4 hours a day while I learned English.

A trip to Miami to visit my brother changed my life forever. I walked into Toyota of Hollywood and felt that was where I belonged. That same day, before I even had the job, I closed three sales for the manager who was interviewing me. I haven't stopped since.

Today, with more than five years selling cars, I can give my daughter, my wife and my family the life they deserve, and also support my people in Venezuela. I keep building my presence on social media, sharing the journey on TikTok and YouTube. I know I'm not yet even 10% of the person I want to become, but every day I move forward with the same passion I had selling gelatin at the field in my neighborhood.
